Hi Marc,

thank you for JAM files. I'd a short look and saw that the first 22 bytes
are always the same. The end of the file looks like a bit map.

Here are the 3D utility programs.

3DOTXT.EXE: Shows all the 3DO segments
Command line: 3DOTXT 3dofile > output file

ED3DOPOS.EXE: Allows to edit the 3DO position and orientation
Command line: ED3DOPOS track.3do object.3do

3DO23DV.EXE: Converts the vertices and faces from a 3DO file
into 3DV format (readable by GLVIEW)
Have a look at the 3do files in the car set.
             (indycar.3do, roadcar.3do and camaro.3do)

You can get GLVIEW here on CIS. Just use the file finder.

Yesterday I edited some vertices from grandstands, houses etc. and
created a simple 3DO file (lake, rectangle) containing only type $01000080
3DO-file segments. I added it to a track data file and it worked.

Tschuess,

Gerhard
